The Flake Ice Machine is a kind of ice making machine. It can be divided into fresh water flake ice machine and sea water flake ice machine according to water source. Generally, it is mostly industrial ice making machine. The flakes are flakes, dry and loose white ice, ranging in thickness from 1.0 mm to 2.5 mm, irregular in shape and about 12 to 45 mm in diameter. The flakes have no sharp edges and corners and will not stab frozen objects. It can enter the gap between the objects to be cooled, reduce heat exchange, maintain the temperature of ice, and have a good moisturizing effect. The flake ice has excellent cooling effect and has the characteristics of large cooling capacity and rapid speed. Therefore, it is mainly used in various large-scale refrigeration facilities, food quick freezing, concrete cooling and the like. Can be divided into Fresh Water FlakeIice Machine, sea water flake ice machine, generally mostly industrial ice machine. The principle of the flake ice machine has the following five points:

Flake Ice Machine

Flake Ice Machine

1. Flake ice machine vertical evaporator

The flake ice machine evaporator is a vertically built barrel structure, which consists of the main components of ice making, such as ice skates, main shaft, sprinkler tray and water tray. They are slowly rotated counterclockwise under the drive of the reducer.

2. The principle of ice making

The water enters the water distribution tray from the water inlet of the flake ice machine evaporator, and the water is evenly sprinkled on the inner wall of the evaporator through the sprinkling water pipe to form a water film; the water film exchanges heat with the refrigerant in the evaporator flow path, and the temperature is rapid. Lowering, a thin layer of ice is formed on the inner wall of the evaporator, which is broken into pieces of ice under the squeezing of the ice knife and falls into the ice storage from the ice falling port. Part of the water that has not formed into ice passes through the water tray and returns from the water return port to the cold water tank through the cold water circulation pump.

3. Ice making cycle

By replenishing the water valve, the water automatically enters a water storage tank, and then the water is pumped through the flow control valve to the splitter head, where the water is evenly sprayed onto the surface of the ice maker, flowing through the ice maker like a water curtain On the wall, the water is cooled to the freezing point, and the water that has not been frozen by evaporation will flow into the reservoir through the porous tank and resume the cycle.

4. Ice picking cycle

When the ice reaches the required thickness (normally, the thickness of the ice is 1.5-2.2 MM), the hot gas discharged from the compressor is redirected back into the wall of the ice maker to replace the low temperature liquid refrigerant. This forms a film of water between the ice and the wall of the evaporation tube. This layer of water will act as a lubricant when the ice falls freely into the groove below by gravity. The water produced during the ice picking cycle will pass through the porous tank back into the water reservoir, which also prevents the wet ice from being discharged by the machine.

5. Refrigerator condenser

It is realized by air-cooled, water-cooled or evaporative condenser. The evaporative type is installed above the ice machine, the water-cooled condenser is installed below the ice machine or below the refrigeration system, and the air-cooled condenser is installed with the ice machine according to the actual situation. It can also be installed outdoors. If desired, water-cooled condensers can be used on board or on the coast, using sea water for cooling. Evaporative cooling can be used in ambient air temperatures, but it is not suitable for use in water-cooled or air-cooled refrigeration in terms of efficiency and economy.
